Our Summer is full we’ll be part of Waterfront Wednesdays at Henry Hudson Waterfront Park in the beautiful Hudson, NY! We are looking forward to offering 2 workshops and performing 1 excerpt from our latest ritual artwork, These are the bodies that have not borne.
DANCING WITH EARTH is an outdoor dance workshop for the whole family; open to all kiddos, teenagers and adults! Explore dancing with your environment (aka site-responsive dancing), embody your favorite parts of nature and have fun moving your body! Led by Artistic Director, Maria Bauman, and collaborator AJ Wilmore. Each workshop is 45 minutes and open to all levels of experience. We will meet you there!
If you’re interested in engaging with us in other ways please join us at the Athens Cultural Center for an artist talk that includes YOU! For a portion of the talk Maria will be joined by Elena Mosley, a committed community advocate, organizer, and artist who stewards Operation Unite New York in Hudson, NY. We will dig into site-responsive work and discover together how it involves YOU, the audience! Maria will lead a bit of low-stakes and accessible practice responding to specific sites and environments right there in the room to create movement.
