Monday evening, October 8th 2018, MBDancer Courtney Cook won a New York Dance and Performance Award, commonly known as a Bessie! It was absolutely fabulous to celebrate her at the award ceremony! Courtney was honored with a Bessie for Sustained Achievement as a phenomenal artist across three different companies: MBDance, Urban Bush Women, and Marguerite Hemmings. All of MBDance is so happy for Courtney and so proud of her. She is a generous and fierce artist who brings insight and willingness to risk to her work.
