MBDance leads a participatory social dance and history session in Philadelphia as part of the Tell ’em I’m Gone family event. The fun evening is organized by Ashley Phillips of APSoul, in partnership with Intercultural Journeys.

From hard work to cheerful child’s play, songs and chants have always kept time, collecting and sharing our stories as we go about our daily lives. In Tell ‘Em I’m Gone, singer-songwriter Ashley Phillips and a host of amazing artists trace our songs of work and play from the folk music of the African Diaspora to its 21st-century forms.
